VEX Robotics – A World-Class Platform for Technological Innovation
VEX Robotics is one of the largest educational robotics competitions in the world, attracting hundreds of thousands of students from elementary to middle school levels each year. It serves as a dynamic platform for students to develop a wide range of essential skills—from engineering design and robot programming to creative thinking and teamwork.
In Vietnam, the competition is held with multiple divisions, most notably:
VEX IQ Challenge (VIQRC): For elementary and middle school students
VEX Robotics Competition (V5RC): For high school students
Vietnam National Championship VEX Robotics 2025 Finals is organized by the STEM Education Promotion Alliance (SEPA), Center for Science and Technology Development (CENSTED), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), and Vovinam Digital. It is sponsored by the National Innovation Center (NIC) and technically supported by Kidscode Education Development Jsc.
This year’s final brings together 82 top-performing teams from across the country, competing in two intense days of robotics challenges, showcasing the talent, innovation, and collaborative spirit of Vietnam’s next generation of engineers and inventors.
Diverse Representation of Teams
This year’s National Championship Final stands as a powerful testament to the widespread reach of STEM Robotics across Vietnam. A total of 82 teams from various provinces and cities are participating, representing both urban and rural areas. Among them, 35 teams come from public schools, and 15 teams are from highland regions.
The presence of teams from such diverse backgrounds not only highlights the principle of equity in STEM education, but also reflects the organizers’ strong commitment to creating equal opportunities for all students—regardless of their geographic location—to access technology and innovation.
These teams bring a rich variety of competition strategies, robot designs, and programming approaches, contributing to a vibrant, dynamic, and thrilling final round. More than just a competition, the event becomes a festival of learning and cultural exchange, as students proudly showcase the identity of their hometowns, schools, and ethnic cultures, turning the championship into a meaningful celebration of both creativity and diversity.
