STEM for Girls
The demand for workforce in the STEM field is increasing, but the participation rate of women in this field remains low. Gender stereotypes in rural and highland areas are a significant barrier, causing many female students to hesitate in pursuing STEM fields. The series of workshops will provide female students with information about educational and career opportunities in the STEM field, while also introducing them to the necessary skills and resources needed to pursue this field.
Workshop activities
- Introduction to STEM Fields: Experts in the STEM field will introduce the various STEM disciplines, educational and career opportunities, and the necessary skills for success.
- Skills Needed for Success in STEM: Experts will share about soft skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experiences Shared by Successful Women in STEM: Successful women in the STEM field will share their journeys of pursuing their passions, the challenges they faced, and advice for female students.
- Hands-on STEM Activities and Experiences: Students will participate in hands-on STEM activities and experiences to apply the knowledge they’ve learned and develop their skills.
The STEM workshop series will be a meaningful and practical event for female students.
