On May 18, 2024, Đông Các Primary and Secondary School in Đông Hưng District, Thái Bình Province, successfully hosted the STEM Day for the 2023-2024 school year under the theme “A Day of Dreams.” The event attracted a large number of students, teachers, and parents, creating a vibrant and enriching intellectual playground.
Inspiring Creativity Through Experiential Activities
With the goal of igniting students’ passion for science and technology, this year’s STEM Day featured a variety of rich and diverse activities. Students from different classes showcased their creative STEM projects, ranging from robot models and automation devices to fascinating science experiments. Each project not only reflected the results of their learning but also demonstrated their creative abilities and scientific thinking.
The Water Rocket Competition and KC-BOT Robot Battle were the highlights of the event, drawing the attention and participation of hundreds of students. The self-made rockets from simple materials and the robots programmed to perform tasks brought an atmosphere of excitement and lively competition.

In addition to the competitions and exhibitions, STEM Day was also an opportunity for students and parents to gain a deeper understanding of the practical applications of STEM in everyday life. One of the standout activities was the free eye exams provided to all students and teachers at the school, conducted by Simba Eyewear Company and specialized ophthalmologists. This activity not only helped with eye care but also opened up career paths in ophthalmology for the students.

The event also saw the participation of many distinguished guests and experts from reputable educational organizations such as Vietnam STEM Alliance, Kidscode STEM Academy, and other supporting units. This reflects the special interest of the community and authorities in promoting STEM education in the local area.
