Open Data Exploration Summer Camp 2026 provides students aged 14–17 with the opportunity to explore NASA open data, develop data literacy, teamwork, and innovation skills through hands-on STEM learning.

From July 8 to 10, 2026, the Open Data Exploration Summer Camp 2026 will take place at American Center Hanoi, 170 Ngoc Khanh, Hanoi. The program is designed for students aged 14 to 17, selected through an application, motivation review, and interview process.

The camp is co-organized by American Center Hanoi, the STEM Education Promotion Alliance – SEPA, and STEAM For Youth Club. It aims to help Vietnamese students access NASA open data and develop the ability to use data to understand and address real-world problems.

Time: 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM, July 8–10, 2026

Venue: American Center Hanoi, 170 Ngoc Khanh, Hanoi

Participants: Students aged 14–17

Organizers: American Center Hanoi, SEPA, and STEAM For Youth Club

As data science, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation become increasingly important for young learners, students need opportunities to work with real datasets, real questions, and scientific ways of thinking. The camp is designed as an experiential learning program that combines data exploration, design thinking, teamwork, and project presentation.

Over three practical learning sessions, students will be introduced to NASA open data and explore topics related to climate, environment, Earth observation, and natural phenomena. Working in teams, students will learn how to identify problems, search for and interpret data, develop solution ideas, prepare presentations, and receive feedback from mentors.

Beyond STEM and data literacy, the program also supports the development of essential skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, science communication, and presentation. It also helps students build a foundation for future participation in national and international STEM and innovation platforms, especially the NASA Space Apps Challenge.

As a co-organizer and academic supporting organization, SEPA contributes to curriculum development, expert connection, mentor support, and program implementation together with STEAM For Youth Club. Through this initiative, SEPA continues its mission to promote practical, accessible, and community-connected STEM education for Vietnamese students.
