STEM Ambassador Program
Introduction
The “STEM Ambassador” program seeks to identify and nurture students with leadership potential and a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
By joining the program, students will not only be trained in leadership skills and the design and implementation of real-world STEM projects, but will also help inspire creativity within their communities.
This journey aims to develop young leaders’ resilience and expand their networks with STEM experts and educators across the country.
Goals
Identify and nurture students with potential and capabilities in the field of STEM.
Create opportunities for students passionate about STEM to connect, learn, and grow through real-world experiences.
Foster a spirit of creative learning and promote STEM education within the student community.
Develop students’ leadership skills, particularly their ability to initiate, organize, and lead STEM activities in schools and local communities.
Build a new generation of positive student leaders who are responsible to their communities and committed to long-term personal development in science and technology.
Target Participants
Students from middle school to high school level
Selection Criteria
Students with outstanding academic achievements, active participation, or strong efforts in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Students who demonstrate initiative, creativity, and a strong desire to promote STEM education within their community.
Responsibilities of a Student STEM Ambassador
Complete at least one STEM project with educational value or real-world application.
Co-organize or lead at least one STEM workshop for the community.
Promote STEM education through communication activities such as articles, videos, social media campaigns, etc.
Program Duration
Total implementation time: 2 months after completing the training or concurrently during the training phase.
During this period, students will:
Participate in leadership skill training and orientation sessions for the Student STEM Ambassador role.
Develop a personal action plan and carry out related activities.
STEM Ambassador Training Program
Develop a personal action plan: Guide students in setting project goals, analyzing real-world needs, planning actions, and selecting appropriate implementation strategies based on their abilities and conditions.
Design and implement a STEM project: Provide a full project development process, from ideation to execution, including practical organizational skills, project evaluation, and iterative improvement.
Presentation and reporting skills: Train students in writing final project reports, analyzing outcomes, and communicating their learning experiences professionally.
Resource and community connection: Connect students with networks of teachers, STEM experts, and local community partners to support project implementation, amplify social impact, and sustain project growth beyond the program.
Program Fee & Scholarships
Participation Fee: 10,000,000 VND per student (including training, materials, personal mentoring, communication support, and certification).
Scholarship Policy:
100% scholarship for students facing special financial hardships or with outstanding applications.
50% scholarship for students with documented financial difficulties, verified by their school or local authority.
STEM Ambassador Title
Students who successfully complete all program requirements will be awarded the official title of Student STEM Ambassador.
The title comes with a Certificate of Achievement issued by the STEM Education Promotion Alliance (SEPA).
This certificate recognizes the student’s learning spirit, creativity, and active contributions to promoting STEM education within their community.
Activities of the Ambassadors will be featured on SEPA’s official website and communication channels.
Selection Process
Step 1: Application Submission
Applicants complete the online registration form provided by the organizers, along with a short essay expressing their motivation and vision for promoting STEM.
Step 2: Application Screening
Applications will be reviewed based on criteria including STEM capability, initiative, creativity, and commitment to community engagement.
Step 3: Interview or Additional Evaluation (if needed)
Selected candidates may be invited for an online interview or asked to submit additional evidence of their previous STEM activities.
Step 4: Announcement of Results
The final list of selected participants will be announced via email and published on the program’s official communication channels.
Step 5: Confirmation and Registration Completion
Selected students must confirm participation and complete payment within the specified deadline. Detailed instructions for participating in the training program will then be provided.

👉 Yes. SEPA will:

6. How much is the participation fee? Are scholarships available?
👉 10,000,000 VND per student (includes training, materials, personal mentoring, communication support, and certification).

7. Will students receive a certificate?

👉 Yes. Most of the training and mentoring activities will be conducted online via Zoom, Google Meet, and digital learning platforms.
9. What documents are needed for registration?
👉 Application documents include:
Personal information of the student and guardian (parent/guardian or teacher).
A short essay describing the student’s motivation or project ideas.
10. Can students apply as a group?
👉 No. The program is designed to foster individual leadership development. However, during project implementation, students are encouraged to connect and collaborate with peers or community members, with the student serving as the initiator and leader.
11. How is payment and invoicing handled?
After receiving the acceptance notice, selected participants will be provided with detailed instructions for payment via bank transfer.
If an official VAT invoice is required, participants must submit invoicing information within 3 days after payment. Invoices can be sent electronically via email or in paper form upon request.
