Hanoi, Vietnam – April 26, 2025 – A significant milestone for Vietnam’s STEM education was marked on April 24th at the National Innovation Center (NIC) in Hanoi. A grand send-off ceremony was held for the 18 exceptional teams representing Vietnam at the prestigious VEX Robotics World Championship 2025.
The event witnessed the esteemed presence of key figures dedicated to the advancement of education and technology in Vietnam, including:
- Mr. Ta Ngoc Tri – Deputy Director of the Primary Education Department, Ministry of Education and Training.
- Mr. Do Tien Thinh – National Innovation Center (NIC).
- Ms. Mary Beth Polley – Cultural and Educational Affairs Officer, U.S. Embassy in Vietnam.
- Mr. Le Thuy Duong – Regional English Language Office (RELO), Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duy Hai – Head of Admissions and Career Counseling, Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
- Mr. Nguyen Tien Cuong – Founder of VEF 2.0 Program, Deputy Executive Director of CENSTED.
- Mr. Bach Ngoc Chien – Chairman of the Board of Directors, Vovinam Digital.
- Mr. Do Hoang Son & Dr. Duong Tuan Hung – Representatives of Vietnam STEM Alliance.
- Ms. Dao Thi Hong Quyen – Director of the STEM Education Promotion Alliance.
- Mr. Hoang Van Dong – Founder of Kidscode STEM – Representative of VEX Robotics in Vietnam.
The ceremony was further enriched by the enthusiastic participation of over 60 students, coaches, and parents attending in person, alongside virtual contributions from teams in Cao Bang and Ho Chi Minh City, showcasing the strong unity and collaborative spirit of the Vietnamese contingent.
The send-off event at the NIC served as a powerful platform to further motivate and celebrate the hard work of the student participants. It also acknowledged the invaluable support provided by teachers, parents, and both domestic and international organizations dedicated to STEM education in Vietnam.
Distinguished guests and the organizing committee extended their heartfelt encouragement and best wishes to the teams. Their inspiring words ignited a sense of national pride and fueled the ambition of Vietnam’s young generation to excel on the global stage of STEM and robotics.
With meticulous preparation, unwavering determination, and the strong support of their families, schools, and the wider community, there is great confidence that the Vietnamese teams will demonstrate their talent, intellect, and creativity at the international competition.
The VEX Robotics World Championship 2025, a global gathering of young minds in technology, will officially take place in Dallas, USA, this May.
