From 2023 to 2025, SEPA brought STEM education to 23 provinces and cities, putting the students with the fewest opportunities first: children in rural and mountainous areas, girls, and students with disabilities.

Large-scale tournaments and events
SEPA runs competitions to international standards and brings them closer to students in disadvantaged areas.
VEX Robotics National Championship Vietnam 2024–2025
Vietnam’s national robotics championship, organised by SEPA as RECF’s partner together with Hanoi University of Science and Technology, CENSTED and Vovinam Digital, with media patronage from NIC. For the first time, a regional event was held in the border district of Trung Khanh (Cao Bang), run by Tay and Nung teachers trained by SEPA. The game themes featured Vietnamese landmarks such as Long Bien Bridge and Ban Gioc Waterfall.

NASA Space Apps Challenge Ninh Binh 2025
Ninh Binh’s first time hosting this international science and technology hackathon, organised by SEPA with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Hanoi University of Science and Technology and the Ninh Binh Innovation and Startup Club, under the patronage of NIC and the Ninh Binh Department of Science and Technology. In 48 hours, teams learned to use open data from space agencies to build projects to international standards.

Robotics for Good Youth Challenge Vietnam 2026
A competition coordinated by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), leading to the global final in Geneva at the AI for Good Global Summit 2026. Students aged 10–18 take part free of charge, using open-source hardware and software to tackle food security. Teams HMD1 and Mission Possible represented Vietnam in Geneva.

Women and girls in STEM
SEPA co-organised the Inspiring Stories of Women and Girls in STEM Education and Digital Transformation contest with CEPEW and HCMUE STEM, together with an expert forum featuring specialists from USTH and VAST.

Teacher training, STEM lessons rooted in local culture, STEM clubs and STEM festivals.
- Transferred tournament organisation to more than 200 teachers in Cao Bang and Lang Son

Girls
Opening more ways for girls to take up STEM.
- Founded the first girls’ robotics club in Van Quan district, Lang Son
- 9 STEM workshops for girls in mountain districts: Bamboo STEM (Thanh Hoa), Weaving STEM (Hoa Binh), Traditional Costume Patterns STEM (Tuyen Quang), Conical Hat STEM (Phu Tho)
